When researching businesses we may buy, we work from publicly available information only: a store’s website and catalog, published customer reviews, public social profiles, and business contact details published on the web or provided by licensed data services. We do not access anything behind a login, and we do not collect information about private individuals unconnected to a business.
We process this information on the basis of legitimate interest: a one-to-one business inquiry about a possible acquisition, sent to a business address. We contact each business at most a handful of times, and never again once you tell us not to.
Every email we send includes a working opt-out. You can also simply reply, or write to jack@riveracquisitions.com — we’ll add you to our permanent do-not-contact list, usually within hours, and confirm if you’d like. If you want the information we hold about your business deleted, ask in the same email and we’ll do that too.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. We can’t see that you visited, and we prefer it that way.
